Yerberos formed in Bogotá in 1993 with Andrés Cepeda on vocals, Juan Carlos Rojas on guitar, Diego Cadavid on bass, and Jaime Andrés Restrepo on drums. Their debut album came out in 1995, named after the track 'Bailar pegao' that became their breakthrough hit.
That first record mixed rock and pop with Colombian rhythms, a sound they kept exploring on later albums like 'La Maldita Vanidad' and 'El Final de la Risa'. They had other songs like 'Lo Que Hace La Mano' and 'Pepe Zeizo Rasta' that showed their range.
Their image and approach to gender drew some criticism at the time, but they kept making music through the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
