YHBOYS formed in Seoul in 2016 with five members: Kim Yong-hoon, Jo Min-kyu, Noh Tae-hyun, Lee Sang, and Im Jin-sung. Their debut single "I Can Do It" came out in 2017 and did well on Korean music charts. They followed it with songs like "Beautiful Day" and "Heartbreak Hotel."
In 2018, there were plagiarism allegations around their song "Love You," though those were later dismissed. Noh Tae-hyun left the group in 2019 for personal reasons. They kept releasing music, putting out albums they called "Chapter 1: Hello," "Chapter 2: Day and Night," and "Chapter 3: Be Your Own Hero."
Kim Yong-hoon sang lead, Jo Min-kyu handled rapping and writing, Lee Sang sang and was often called the group's visual, and Im Jin-sung played drums. Their music mixed pop, R&B, and hip-hop sounds.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
