The Ying Yang Twins, D-Roc and Kaine, came out of Atlanta in the early 2000s. Their 2003 album 'Me & My Brother' got them some attention with its straightforward, bass-heavy tracks. They worked with Houston rapper Mike Jones on the 2005 single 'Badd,' which became their most recognizable song.
Mike Jones had already put out his debut 'Who Is Mike Jones?' the year before. His verse on 'Badd' fit right in with the Twins' style. The track was just a collaboration, not a permanent group, but it's what most people remember them for together.
After that, the Ying Yang Twins kept putting out albums like 'My Brother & Me 2' and 'The Ying Yang Way.' Their lyrics and shows sometimes drew complaints, but they didn't really change their approach. They worked with other artists too, including Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne on later projects.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
