YleOficial came out of Rio de Janeiro with a sound that mixed funk carioca and pop. The group included MC Kevinho on vocals, along with DJ Kevin, MC IG, MC Jack, and MC Vavá. Their 2017 debut single "Encaixa" caught on quickly, followed by tracks like "O Grave Bater" and "Ela É do Tipo."
In 2018, they teamed up with MC Rebecca for "Só Você," which became one of their biggest songs. The track topped Brazilian charts and racked up heavy streaming numbers. Other songs like "Suburbano (Garoto Sonhador)" and "Vida" also show up in their catalog.
Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for pushing boundaries, but they kept a loyal fanbase. The group's music often reflected life in Rio's neighborhoods, and they faced some of the same challenges that come with that environment.
