Yoleve formed in 2004 around Marisa Liz and Miguel Guedes, who had both been in the band No Way Sis. They were joined by João Reis on bass and Gil Silva on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2006, and its lead single 'É Que Sei Lá' became a hit in Portugal.
They followed that with albums like 'Tempo' in 2008 and 'Ossos' in 2011, which moved toward more acoustic and darker sounds. Other songs like 'O Lançe Inverteu' and 'Quando Nos Encontrarmos' with BN also found an audience. Marisa Liz left the band in 2015, and the remaining members continued as a trio.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
