Yonkid's formed in Barcelona around 2004, with Albert Guinovart on vocals and guitar, Borja Penalba on guitar and vocals, Daniel Mercadé on bass, and Carlos Duguey on drums. They put out their self-titled debut in 2006, followed by the 2009 album 'No Es Cualquier Día'.
That second album gave them their breakthrough single, the title track 'No Es Cualquier Día'. They released two more albums after that: 'Un Día Más' in 2012 and 'Sant Antoni' in 2015.
After a hiatus, the band got back together for some live shows in 2018. They haven't released new music since 'Sant Antoni'.
