Yonny Molotov came out of Santiago, Chile with a punk and metal sound that felt raw and direct. Their 2009 album 'Lo Falso Del Mundo' gave the band its title track, a song that became something of an anthem for listeners who recognized its critique of hypocrisy and corruption.
The band's lineup included Yonathan Molina on vocals, Nicolás Gavilán on guitar, Mauricio Herrera on bass, and Rodrigo González on drums. They put out their self-titled debut in 2006, followed by 'El Último Round' in 2012 and 'El Retorno Es Ahora' in 2016.
They faced the usual indie band struggles, financial pressure, label issues, and the loss of bassist Mauricio Herrera along the way, but kept recording.
