Yoo Young Jin started out playing guitar and singing in his teens, influenced by Western pop and rock. He was part of the band Shin Hae Chul and the Circle after high school. In 1992, he began working with Seo Taiji and Boys as their music director, helping shape the group's sound during a period when Korean pop was changing.
After Seo Taiji and Boys ended in 1996, Yoo Young Jin put out his own solo album called 'One.' He later released 'Ji ae (Agape)' in 2001. Around 2002, he started producing songs regularly for SM Entertainment artists like Girls' Generation, Super Junior, and TVXQ, which led to him being called 'The Hit Maker' in some circles.
He also wrote 'Dear My Family,' which became one of his better-known songs. Most of his work has been behind the scenes as a producer and composer rather than as a front-facing performer.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
