Young Divas formed in 2000 as a vocal group featuring Vanessa Williams, Angie Stone, Nichole Ray, and Deborah Cox. Their debut single was a cover of "It's Raining Men," which became their breakout hit. They released their first album, "Winning Divas," that same year.
After their initial success, the group faced some internal changes. Angie Stone left following the first album, and their 2002 follow-up "Second Nature" didn't achieve the same commercial impact as their debut. They recorded songs like "This Time I Know It's For Real" and "What A Feeling" during their time together.
Following the group's dissolution, the members pursued individual careers. Vanessa Williams, Deborah Cox, and Nichole Ray each worked as solo artists, while Angie Stone continued as a singer-songwriter.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
