Young Empires formed in Melbourne with Oliver Hugh Perry on vocals and guitar, Michael Hohnen on bass, Kurt Skuse on drums, and Jed Kurzel on keyboards. Their first album came out in 2011, the same year they released the song 'Rain of Gold.'
They put out two more albums after that, 'Daylight' in 2014 and 'The Gates' in 2018. Some of their other songs include 'Enter Through The Sun' and 'House Lights.'
Early on, some people said their live shows weren't very engaging, but they kept working on their performances. The band has also talked about mental health in interviews.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
