Young Fanatic formed in New York City in the late 1990s, with Sarah Blackwood on vocals, Brendan Canning on keyboards, and Andrew Whiteman on drums. They put out their first album, 'Spectres,' in 2003. Their track 'Shhh' came out in 2007 and got some attention for its moody, repetitive feel and that line about telling everything.
There were some odd rumors floating around at the time, something about the song being linked to local disappearances, which the band denied. They kept working after that, but that one song is still what most people know them by.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
