Young Hot Rod came out of Los Angeles in the early 2000s. Their song 'Hot Girl' got some attention, and they put out a debut album called 'Rev It Up' in 2003. They had a few other records after that, like 'Midnight Ride' and 'Wild Ride'.
Their music was rock with some punk and alternative in it. They had a song with 50 Cent called 'Chase Da Cat' and another with Bob Sinclair called 'Put Your Hands Up.' They also recorded 'Love Em Or Hate Em' with Ca$his and a track called 'Dance With Me.'
There was some talk about the band's image and behavior at the time. They kept playing through it, and their lyrics seemed to connect with people who liked that kind of direct, unpolished approach.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
