Young Lights

Young Lights came out of Los Angeles with a sound that mixed R&B, soul, and pop. Their debut album was called 'Heartbeats,' and they followed it with records like 'Echoes' and 'Reflections' that brought in jazz, funk, and electronic touches. Songs like 'Dreamer' and 'Find My Feet' show the kind of melodic, introspective writing they were known for.

The band's lineup included Ava Reed on lead vocals, Ethan James on guitar, Max Black on bass, and Oliver Green on drums. They had their share of internal changes and some skepticism from critics early on, but kept working. They never really had a massive breakout single called 'Oh Darling', that detail seems to be off. What they did have were songs like 'Pills' and 'Terminal E' that felt grounded and direct. Their music stayed focused on melody and feeling, without chasing trends or grand statements.
