Archive material and source history
Young Summer formed in 2018 around singer-songwriter Max Cohen and guitarist Jess Marino, with drummer Joe Garcia and bassist Brian Ellis. They came together in Los Angeles, specifically around the Silver Lake area. Their debut EP 'Tidal Wave' came out in 2019, and they later signed with Firebrand Records.
Their music includes songs like 'Waves That Rolled You Under,' 'Final Say,' and 'Blood Love.' They also released a track called 'The Conversation' featuring Mat Kearney. In 2023, they put out an EP titled 'Bloom.'
There was some talk about plagiarism allegations from another band at one point, though nothing was ever proven. The group kept playing shows and working on new material.
