Young Trio formed in Rio de Janeiro during the 1990s, playing Brazilian samba. Their song "Eu Tô Bem" became popular internationally. The group included Carlinhos Brown on percussion, Margareth Menezes on vocals, and Daniela Mercury as a performer and songwriter.
Their self-titled debut album came out in 1995, featuring "Eu Tô Bem." They later released two more albums: "Tribalistas" in 2002 and "Deixa Entrar" in 2005. The trio performed at venues like the Beacon Theatre in New York and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Outside of Young Trio, the members pursued individual work. Carlinhos Brown became involved in social activism, while Margareth Menezes and Daniela Mercury continued with solo music projects.
