Younger Brother formed in 2003 when Simon Curtis and David Benton met at a music festival. They released their debut album 'Last of the Slow Burn' in 2006, with songs like 'Shine' and 'Spinning Into Place' establishing their sound. The band's lineup included bassist Ben Wilson and keyboardist Jake Bugg during those early years.
After Wilson left in 2008 and Bugg took a hiatus, Curtis took over bass duties and brought in other musicians to keep recording. They put out albums like 'The Great Invisible' and 'The Last Days of Gravity,' with tracks such as 'Ribbon On A Branch' and 'Night Lead Me Astray' showing their continued work.
Curtis and Benton have remained the core of Younger Brother through these changes, with Curtis handling vocals, guitar, and bass while Benton plays drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
