Why does it seem that everyone
Gets a break just when it counts
While the White working class
Gets nowhere and loses ounce by ounce
I mean there's gotta be something
More to the law that tells us we are wrong
When they turn their backs and arrest
The men who made this country strong.
I've seen them send a good man
Down and lock him up for years.
While our families and friends expect
The best just to drown ourselves in tears.
We end up sitting in the yard along
With the boy while in his heart and mind
And he thinks to himself how much
More he's going to do next time.
The lying times of American justice
With a brainwashed frame built of smoke and mirrors.
The blatant lies of American justice
Becomes a shame to say Im American.
Take the time brother Stan was doing
His part and standing up for his kind
When he gets pulled in and added to his charge,
Twenty five for his hate crime.
Now, a simple assault is something
That should require a couple of days
But that being his third strike, man,
I just cant see their way.
What it all boils down to is a political boost for them
Democrat, Republican means
Nothing when theyre friends.
What we need is love for our race
And a ground swell of support
Because the bureaucracy of this land
Was given to false retort.
