Youngle

Youngle is an indie-folk band from Europe. Their 2019 single 'Onda' brought them some attention with its Balkan-influenced sound and introspective lyrics. The band includes Yola on vocals and songwriting, Laca on multiple instruments and production, and Jure on percussion.

They followed 'Onda' with the 2020 album 'Sheltering Sky' and 2022's 'Desert In Between,' which incorporated more electronic and experimental elements. As an independent group, they've worked without major label backing.

Yola has spoken about dealing with anxiety and depression, which comes through in the emotional tone of her writing. Some listeners have debated interpretations of their lyrics, but the band has generally kept to their own creative path.
