Yovanna was a French band formed in Paris in the early 1990s. The group consisted of Yovanna Cobo on vocals, Pascal Pierre on bass, and Jean-Philippe Bourgeois on drums. They released their debut album in 1993, which included the song "Non À Jamais Sans Toi."
That track became their most recognizable work, a ballad that found an audience in France during the mid-1990s. The band put out a few more albums through the late 1990s and early 2000s, including "Dernières Nouvelles de Nos Corps" in 1996 and "Un Rêve En Noir Et Blanc" in 1999.
Their activity became less consistent after that period. There were some internal tensions and a plagiarism accusation in 2005 that led to a break from public appearances. The band never officially disbanded, but they haven't released new music in many years.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
