Yoye Cotes is a Colombian singer-songwriter from Cartagena. He started performing at local gatherings and street festivals before releasing his debut album "Un Día a la Vez" in 1996, which included a title track that became popular.
In 2000, he released "Te Entrego Mi Alma," a ballad that connected with listeners and became one of his most recognized songs. The track faced plagiarism accusations in the early 2000s, though these were eventually dismissed.
He continued recording albums like "Sin Miedo" in 2002 and "De Mil Amores" in 2005. His band included musicians such as José Ricardo "El Gordo" García on drums, Alberto Barrios on bass, Ever Jiménez on guitar, and Juan Carlos Coronel on keyboard.
