Yrto formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2012 with Pedro Henrique on vocals and guitar, Marcelo Gross on bass, and Rafael Locks on drums. Their debut album 'Dias de Sol' came out in 2014, and the title track became a national hit. The band's name comes from the Greek word for 'element'.
They followed that album with 'O Tempo' in 2017 and 'Água' in 2019. In 2016, they dealt with plagiarism accusations over one of their songs, which they resolved without lasting public drama.
Their music has found listeners in Latin America and Europe through touring. The three members work collaboratively, with Henrique's songwriting and vocals supported by Gross's bass lines and Locks's drum patterns.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
