Ysla Rayla formed in 2014 as an independent Brazilian band.
The band is led by vocalist Ysla Araújo, with João Meirelles on guitar, Gabriel Ribeiro on bass, and Bruno Melo on drums. They've released two albums: 'Sereia' in 2018 and 'Híbrida' in 2021. Their music draws from Brazilian rhythms and pop structures while exploring personal themes.
In 2019, Ysla Araújo faced criticism over past social media comments, leading the band to address the situation publicly. They continued working through that period, maintaining their focus on creating music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
