YSN FAB started as a Baltimore collective whose name spelled out their purpose: Young Stunners Nationally Feeding Artists Before They're Broke. They worked as a group of rappers and producers who shared resources and support. Their 2018 track 'Family 2 Feed' became their breakout single, and they followed it with projects like the 2019 EP 'On Some Shi' and the 2021 album 'FAB Tape'.
Their music pulled from hip-hop and R&B, with songs like 'World In My Palms' and 'Nobody Loyal' showing their range. The core members included rappers Dizzle, K Swin, and Wande, along with producer Jimmy Fresh. They built a following by focusing on community and offering a platform for other artists coming up in Baltimore.
Like many independent groups, they faced financial pressure and rumors of internal disagreements. But they kept recording and releasing music, maintaining their presence through mixtapes and albums. Their work stayed grounded in the sounds and stories of their city, without much industry polish or major-label backing.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
