Yuanne formed in Salvador, Bahia in 2013 with vocalist Larissa Luz, guitarist Rafael Pondé, bassist Maurício Rangel, and drummer André Becker. Their debut album 'Quero Ser Feliz Também' came out in 2015 and included the song 'Hoje Sou Feliz,' which became a national hit.
Their music draws from Brazilian rhythms like samba and axé while keeping a contemporary pop feel. Other songs in their catalog include 'Mal Me Quer,' 'Papai,' and 'Sonho Lilás.'
In 2017, the band faced public criticism over allegations that 'Hoje Sou Feliz' contained plagiarized material. They released several more albums after that, including 'Em Busca da Felicidade' in 2017 and 'Sou Livre' in 2021.
