Yucca formed after the Japanese rock band Seikima-II ended in 2002, with vocalist Demon Kogure and guitarist Akira Takasaki starting the project. They were joined by bassist Siegfried Schetter and drummer Ra:in. The group released albums like their self-titled debut in 2002, followed by 'Delta' in 2004 and 'Elysian' in 2006.

Their song 'Call My Name ~Kaze Nari no Oka~' was used as the opening theme for the anime 'Windy Tales' in 2004. Another track, 'Slightly chipped Full Moon,' appears among their notable work. Yucca disbanded in 2010.
