Yuhu formed in Brazil in the late 1990s, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1997. That record included the hit 'Quero Estar Nos Seus Braços,' which helped establish them as a pop-rock band with a following among younger listeners. Their early lineup featured Anderson Richards on vocals, Miguel Rabello on guitar, Bruno Castro on bass, and Daniel Silveira on drums.
Richards was arrested for drug possession in 2001, which led to a temporary pause in the band's activities. They eventually resumed, with Richards remaining the consistent frontman through various lineup changes. Their catalog grew to include more than ten studio albums, among them 'A Vida ao Vivo' from 2004 and 'Você' from 2012.
Songs like 'Assim Que Você Voltar,' 'Foi Sincero,' and 'Mulher' became staples in their setlists. They've worked with other Brazilian artists such as Ivete Sangalo and Skank. In 2021, they put out a live album called 'In Concert.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
