Yuichiro Sakuraba is a Japanese musician known for the ballad "Omae ya nai to akannen." He formed a band in the early 2000s with guitarist Takashi Hirayama and keyboardist Hiroaki Tabata, later adding bassist Shinichiro Kobayashi and drummer Daisuke Suzuki.
Their 2008 single "Omae ya nai to akannen" became popular in Japan. The band released several albums including 2007's "Sora e," 2010's "Kimi ga iru kara," and 2018's "Reborn."
In 2010, the band faced plagiarism accusations over a commercial song, though these were dismissed. Their music incorporated traditional Japanese elements alongside modern pop.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
