Yuka Ootsubo is a Japanese singer-songwriter who records under her own name. She was born in 1988 and started with classical piano training before moving into writing her own songs. Her debut album 'Invisible' came out in 2012.
Her song 'Mayonaka no Toubou' became particularly well-known. She has worked with musicians including Keigo Oyamada and Ryuichi Sakamoto on various projects. Ootsubo's later albums include 'Ephemeral' and 'Resonance'.
She performs as a solo artist with different musicians joining her for recordings and shows. Her music draws from classical composers as well as contemporary artists like Björk and Radiohead.
