Archive material and source history
Yukimura Seiichi is a Japanese singer-songwriter who began writing and performing in his late teens. His debut album 'Aoi Sora no Shita' came out in 2005, followed by 'Tsuki to Hoshi no Shichimenchou' in 2008. That second album included 'Renoir No Gashuu,' a song inspired by the Impressionist painter that became his most recognized work.
He performs both solo and with a band that includes Nakajima Hiroki on bass, Watanabe Shota on drums, and Sakamoto Yuki on keyboards. His later albums include 'Iro to Koe' from 2011, 'Sora to Umi no Aida' from 2014, and 'Hikari no Kimi e' from 2017.
In 2012, Yukimura was involved in a copyright lawsuit over a melody in one of his songs. He eventually won the case, but it was a difficult period for him professionally.
