YukSek is a French electronic duo made up of Pierre-Alexandre Busson and Aurélien Quemener. They started putting out music around 2006, and a few years later worked with Vitalic, which helped bring them more attention. Their track "Off the Wall" from 2011 became a club staple, built around a hypnotic beat and soaring synths that worked on dancefloors everywhere.
Other songs like "On a Train," "Always On The Run," and "White Keys" show their range within house, techno, and disco influences. They've released albums such as Away From the Sea, Living on the Edge, and more recently Fragments in 2021. Busson handles most of the production while Quemener provides vocals and lyrics, giving their tracks a recognizable, soulful edge.
Some critics have pointed out that their sound can feel eclectic, shifting between styles without settling into one clear lane. But that willingness to mix things up has kept them from being easily categorized, and they've maintained a steady output of dance-oriented music for over fifteen years now.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
