Yuly formed in Bogotá in 2002 with Juliana Velásquez on vocals, Santiago Mejía on bass, Diego Cadavid on guitar, and Santiago Botero on drums. They put out albums like "Juntos" in 2003 and "Arco Iris del Amor" in 2006.
Their song "Arco Iris del Amor" got some attention, and they had other tracks like "Splash" and "Burbujas de Color." They kept releasing music through the 2010s with albums such as "El Viaje" in 2014 and "Cosmos" in 2018.
Some listeners found their mix of pop and rock with Colombian rhythms straightforward, while others thought it leaned commercial. The band sometimes drew notice for their views on social issues.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
