Yumee is a four-piece band from São Paulo, Brazil, with Mayara Emy on vocals, Bruno Leite on guitar, Douglas Mello on bass, and Vitor Miranda on drums. They started playing live shows around the city and built a following that way. Their debut album came out in 2015, and it included "Aquele Sorriso," the song that really got people listening.
They've put out a few more albums since then: "Memórias" in 2017, "Sonho" in 2019, and "Esperança" in 2021. Other songs like "Certo Ou Errado" and "Vem Pra Cá" show the kind of pop and rock mix they work with. In 2018, there was some legal trouble about a plagiarism claim, but it didn't go anywhere.
Their music has been used in telenovelas and commercials in Brazil. They still play shows, and "Aquele Sorriso" seems to have stuck around as one of those songs people know.
