Yung Fabiu formed in Lisbon around 2016 as a trio with members A.G., B-Raw, and Mika. Their early single 'Senhora Chuva' became a breakout track, helping them build an audience in Portugal. They've released several albums since then, including 'Sonhos' in 2017, 'Tempestade' in 2019, 'Noite' in 2021, and 'Aurora' in 2023.
Their songs like 'Famelps' and 'Goma do Fabiu' often work with themes of daily life and personal reflection. The group's sound pulls from hip-hop and pop, sometimes incorporating elements of Portuguese music. Mika's vocals tend toward the melodic, while B-Raw handles production and A.G. writes much of the lyrics.
Yung Fabiu has faced some skepticism from parts of the industry, and their lyrics have occasionally sparked debate. They've kept releasing music through those periods, maintaining a core following that connects with their direct, sometimes vulnerable approach to writing.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
