Yuri Alexandre is a Brazilian singer and songwriter from São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro. He first gained attention in the mid-2000s as part of the group Batom na Cueca before going solo in 2009 with his debut EP, 'Tudo Que Eu Queria.'
His 2012 song 'Dependente' became a significant hit in Brazil, reaching the top ten on the charts. The ballad's straightforward emotional delivery connected with listeners, though it also brought a plagiarism accusation in 2013 that Alexandre denied.
He has released four studio albums, including 'Vício' in 2015 and '2000' in 2019. His band includes guitarist Guilherme de Souza, bassist Rodrigo Tavares, drummer Vitor Leite, and keyboardist Matheus Porto.
