Yuri Reis is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Itaberaí. He first gained attention in 2010 when his performance of the ballad "Meu Amigo" on a local television show connected with listeners. The song became widely known in Brazil.
In 2012, Reis faced plagiarism allegations regarding his song "Só Você," which he denied. A few years later, in 2016, he was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder that affected his voice. After rehabilitation, he returned to performing.
His debut album was titled "Meu Amigo." Later releases included "Alma Sertaneja" and "Histórias de Um Cantor." For live shows, he has worked with guitarist Robson Pinheiro, drummer Marcos Sacramento, bassist Felipe Rodrigues, and keyboardist Daniel Almeida.
