Yurinho Princce is a Brazilian band that formed in 2010 around frontman Yurinho Princce, with Pedro Henrique on guitar, Gabriel Peixoto on bass, and Gabriel Oliveira on drums. They built a following with a straightforward mix of pop, funk, and rock, leaning into catchy hooks and energetic rhythms. Their 2012 album 'Felizes Para Sempre' gave them their breakout hit with the title track.
Songs like 'Cansei de Ser Boba,' 'Ou Casa Ou Desoculpa,' and 'Clima de Núpcias' kept things direct, with lyrics that often touched on relationships and everyday frustrations. In 2015, they put out a second album called 'Tudo Que Eu Quero' and faced some noise around plagiarism claims for a track called 'Sou Mais Você,' which they brushed off as coincidence. The band has worked with other Brazilian artists like Anitta and Buchecha, but mostly they've stuck with their original four-piece setup.
Beyond that, they've just kept making music that fits comfortably on Brazilian radio, without much fuss about reinventing anything.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
