YuriY is a Brazilian duo formed by Yuri Einhorn and Yuri Prado, who met while studying at the University of Brasília in 2012. They started releasing music together around 2018, with Einhorn handling vocals and various instruments while Prado works on guitar and production.
Their first album was called "Espaço," which came out in 2018 and included the track of the same name. The music tends toward ambient and experimental textures, drawing from both electronic production and Brazilian rhythmic traditions.
They've put out a couple more records since then, "Cai Outra Vez" in 2020 and "Vagamundo" in 2022. The duo has occasionally worked with other artists, like Bebel Gilberto and Tim Hecker, but mostly operates as a self-contained pair.
