Yuusei Shounen Papii formed in 2005 with Keiichi Sato on vocals, Yousuke Kashiwagi on guitar, Taiga Matsunaga on bass, and Yoshiaki Takahashi on drums. They called themselves a 'space boy band' and put out their first album 'Papii Papii' in 2009.
Their song 'Oyasumi Papii' appeared in the anime 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood' in 2008, which helped it find an audience. The band released several more albums, including 'Ame to Hana' in 2010 and 'Kimi to Boku no Renai' in 2011, before going on hiatus in 2012.
