Yves V is the stage name of Belgian DJ and producer Yves Van Geertsom. He started putting out music in the early 2000s, working in a style that mixed electro house with progressive trance. By the mid-2010s, he was playing major festivals.
His 2015 single 'Not So Bad' became a breakout hit, known for its catchy melody and dancefloor energy. Other tracks like 'Echo' and 'We Got That Cool' followed. He often works with vocalists and other producers, as on songs like 'Alone Again' with Sesa & Pollyanna and 'Déjà Vu' with INNA & Janieck.
In 2017, there was some debate about originality in dance music when he was accused of plagiarizing a melody for his track 'Karmakoma'. He took a brief break from releasing music around 2019 but returned in 2021.
