Archive material and source history
YVR formed in Vancouver with Josh Ramsay on vocals, Dave Heimbach and Graham Wright on guitars. Their debut album 'Beacon' came out in 2007, and its title track got some radio play and a Juno nomination. They put out a few more records over the next several years, including 'In the Wild' in 2009, 'Catching Tigers' in 2013, and 'The Sound of War' in 2015.
Their song 'Unique' is one people remember. The lyrics sometimes dealt with mental health and substance use, which got them talked about for being direct. They had a drummer named Cam MacLeod join in 2015.
