Z formed in London in the mid-1990s around vocalist Zion Imani and guitarist Eli Jaxon. Their debut album 'Ephemeral' came out in 1998, followed by 'Immersion' in 2000. That second album included the song 'Pure,' which became their most recognizable track.

After guitarist Jaxon left in 2002, the band continued with Zion at the center. They released one more studio album, 'Transcend,' in 2006. Other songs in their catalog include 'Caminhos,' 'Deixa o Tempo,' and 'SEUS PASSOS.'

Z's music often featured atmospheric arrangements and Zion's distinctive vocal style. The band's recorded output spans those three albums from the late 1990s through the mid-2000s.
