Zablujena Generacija formed in Ljubljana in the late 1970s, a punk band from Slovenia whose name translates to 'Lost Generation.' Their sound mixed punk with new wave and experimental touches, and their lyrics often carried a sarcastic, socially critical edge. Songs like 'Brez Nadzora, Brez Pravil' and 'Totalni Debil' became anthems for a disaffected youth at the time.
Their 1981 self-titled debut album is considered a landmark in Slovenian rock. They followed it with records like 'Divji Zapad' in 1982 and 'Svet Se Obrača' in 1984. The band's classic lineup included Zoran Predin on vocals and guitar, Andrej Trobentar on guitar, Boris Bele on bass, and Igor Derganc on drums.
They released seven studio albums in total, and their music remains a reference point in Slovenia's alternative rock history.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
