Zabuba formed in Rio de Janeiro in the early 2000s with Gabriel Moura on vocals and guitar, Chris Castro on drums, and Rodrigo Tavares on bass. They started playing small clubs and bars around the city, working on songs that would eventually appear on their debut album.
Their 2004 album 'Um Novo Tempo' included 'Duas Palavras,' a ballad that became widely popular in Brazil. The song's straightforward emotional delivery connected with listeners, and it helped establish the band's presence. They followed it with other albums like 'Vem Pra Mim' in 2006 and 'Mais Perto' in 2008.
Alongside 'Duas Palavras,' Zabuba recorded songs like 'Evito te ver,' 'Falei a Verdade,' and 'Por Um Momento.' Their music maintained a consistent approach through several releases, with 'Tudo o Que Eu Queria' arriving in 2010 and 'Tempo de Amar' in 2013.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
