Day Away

Night falls,

And the city she starts to glow.

First to orange then blue and black

And then back again.

And she goes,

Into a sea of neon signs,

Wearing faded jeans

From another time.

And she says,

I want to be closer to jesus.

And he says,

I got two tickets to heaven,

We can leave in the morning,

Pack all bags and leave the world behind.

Everything's gonna be alright,

If i´ve got you by my side,

'cause tomorrow is only a day away.

And she says,

I think i´m lost again,

How come your answering machine

Don´t seem to answer anymore,

And he says,

Oh come on we got to get out of here.

We have to get our things

And get going if we want to get anywhere.

And she says,
