The band Zaez formed in Mexico City, taking their name from the Spanish word for chance. Their debut album came out in 2005, followed by two more records in 2007 and 2010. The song 'Casualidad' got some radio play early on.
Vladimir Gorovitz sang and played guitar, Maria Elena handled keyboards and vocals, Leonardo Esqueda was on bass, and Daniel Aceves played drums. They had a legal issue over the band name in 2009 that got sorted out.
Their music mixed rock and pop with some Latin rhythms, and later records added electronic and alternative touches. They toured a fair amount, playing live shows that people seemed to like.
