Zaiklon is a melodic death metal band from Mexico City that formed in the early 2000s. Their vocalist José Pineda has been the consistent presence through various lineup changes, which have included guitarists Daniel Pimentel and Alejandro García, bassist Emmanuel Viera, and drummer Leonardo López.
They released albums like "Sinfonías de Sangre" in 2006, "Sacrificio" in 2008, and "Darkness Ascends" in 2014. Their track "Esperándote" came out in 2010 and became their most recognized song.
Some critics have called their approach overly sentimental for death metal, while their supporters appreciate the emotional range. The band has kept working despite those debates, with Pineda steering their sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
