Zaka is a Brazilian pop-rock band that started playing together in 2007. They built an audience through small shows and self-promotion before their 2010 single 'Para de Fingir' with Portuguese singer Inês brought them wider attention.
That song became their most recognizable track, though it also drew accusations of plagiarism from critics who claimed it borrowed too closely from another Portuguese band's melody. Zaka maintained it was original work.
The band includes Hugo Rafael on lead vocals and guitar, Raphael Castilhol on drums, Daniel San on bass and backing vocals, and Felipe Soares on keyboards and backing vocals. They've released several albums since 2010, including songs like 'Olha pra Mim' and 'Vou Gritar.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
