ZAM formed in Madrid in the early 2000s, with Alex on vocals, Javi on guitar, Txo on bass, and Dani on drums. Their first album, 'Sin Miedo A Vivir,' came out in 2004. They followed it with 'Efecto Mariposa' and 'El Reino de Alex.'
Their music mixed punk with electronic beats, and Alex's lyrics often dealt with personal struggles. Their Spanish version of 'Angry Alex' shows how they handled that material in their own language.
ZAM's live shows were known for being intense and sometimes chaotic, with Alex interacting directly with the audience in ways that could be confrontational. The band stopped being active after a few years, but those albums from the mid-2000s still turn up in conversations about that period in Madrid.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
