Zamacona formed in Guadalajara, Mexico in the early 2000s with a lineup that included Zamacona on vocals, Roberto Arellano on guitars, Fernando Noriega on bass, and Eduardo Garcia on drums. Their debut album featured the track 'Desde El Dia Que Te Fuiste,' a ballad that found an audience and helped establish them.
They released several albums over the following years, including 'Alma Libre' in 2006, 'Corazon Salvaje' in 2009, and 'Renacer' in 2015. The band's sound incorporated elements from traditional Mexican music alongside pop and rock.
While the lineup has seen changes, Zamacona's voice and songwriting have remained central. Their music often draws from personal experience, developed through a collaborative process among the members.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
