Zamanti Fhm came together in Salvador, Bahia, with Tony Fhm on vocals. They started playing local venues and festivals, building a following through live shows. In 2019, their song 'Ele nao assume' got attention and helped them reach more listeners.
Their music draws from Brazilian popular styles, hip-hop, and funk. Along with 'Ele nao assume,' tracks like 'Em tempos eu era(mais felis)' and 'Vai Ser Facil(esquecer Voce)' show their range. They've put out albums including Aurora in 2017 and Poeta Sócrates in 2021.
The band has faced criticism at times for being outspoken about social issues. They've kept playing and recording through that, with a lineup that includes Caio Prado on drums, Bruno Tiozzo on bass, Alexandre Costa on guitar, and Thiago Araújo on keyboard.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
